Claim Packet

When you file an insurance or home warranty claim, don't show up with nothing. A dated maintenance record beats a vague memory of "yeah, we took care of it."

Why this exists

Insurance and home warranty claims get denied more often for one reason than almost any other: no proof the item was maintained — not a lack of coverage, a lack of records. ProReside already tracks this as you go, since every completed work order is a dated service record. A Claim Packet turns that into something you can actually hand to an adjuster or a warranty company.

Per item, or your whole home

Generate a report for one appliance, or a single combined document covering everything in your Home Inventory.

Identity and ownership facts

Brand, model, serial number (corroborated by your nameplate photo), purchase date and cost, install/in-service date, and current warranty status.

A real, dated service history

Every completed work order tied to the item — with photos, cost, and whether it was DIY or done by a named professional — laid out in order, stamped automatically when the work was marked done, not typed in after the fact.

What this is — and isn't

Being upfront about this matters more to us than it sounding impressive:

  • It's a personal maintenance and ownership record you compile — not a professional inspection, appraisal, or certification of any kind.
  • Dates and costs marked "self-reported" are entered by you, not independently verified by ProReside.
  • It isn't stored on our servers — if you lose the file, you regenerate it from your own records, which takes a minute.
  • It strengthens your position; it doesn't guarantee a claim outcome, and no one can promise that.
